![]() ![]() My interpretation of how they evaluate this is on what the cities have been doing to improve their future prospects. Interestingly they also published a Top 30 Global Cities Outlook list in their link. You can find it though their link on their criteria. Kearney gives its stats in what it uses to come to this list. Many on this Global list are mega-cities regions of 10+million people. Just how the USA ihas migrations toward differing regions in eras and decades and this current one has the USA Southern tier fastest growing today.Ĭanada has no mega-city as Toronto also falls short. Chicago is still short of that and not growing at this time. The US has just 2 mega-cities in size in NYC And LA. US Cities have many evolving at once and some cities growing less as a result. The US has many times that number of cities that compete within the country for its Corporate might. Montreal was earlier in its history they premier city of Canada that issues over the Province of Quebec by its Seperatist Movement, had it change to Toronto's favor. Toronto has evolved and belongs on this list for sure. given how San Francisco and Boston seem to sink you'd think Canada and America move in opposing directions.Ĭanada is a large country and has 3 major cities. This seems like the biggest change in the list, as another user noted esp. "Toronto jumped an impressive 9 places to the number 2 spot, driven by a large upswing in innovation and continued strong governance." ![]()
